Since its humble beginnings in July of 2008 the Ten-82 fund has donated over $500,000 to Public Servants throughout the State of New Mexico.
The donations to Public Servants have been made for a variety of reasons, ranging from the aid in funeral costs of family members to donations to help in the fight against cancer.
There are only two set criteria Ten-82 holds steadfastly to when considering the distribution of money or services.
- The first is that the recipient is a Public Servant in the State of New Mexico.
- The second is that the recipient is in a critical need for assistance.
Matt Hannum and Daniel Morales, both of the Albuquerque Police Department were offered help to pay unforeseen bills that they incurred after they were involved in a shootout with Christopher Chase on October 26th, 2013. Both men are in good spirits and wish to thank all of you that donated at the Channel 4 KOB phone bank.
During this tragic time with the help and support of KOB 4 and the generosity of the community, Ten-82 was able to donate over $22,000 to Officer Fergusons family for their immediate expenses.
Ten-82 works closely with KOB4 in Albuquerque to help raise funds quickly when First Responders need it most.
